It’s all in how we approach greener lifestyles. First off we have to decide what is needed in our lives and then what can we do without that we have become accustomed to.
For the most part, people in general don’t need everything they think they do. Start an inventory of things in your life that you can do without, or that you can replace with more natural means. How much food can you grow or raise on your property to where you won’t be so dependent on commercial foods. How can you recycle objects that without thinking, get thrown into the trash can and end up in our already overfull landfills.
Green living is basically thinking and accepting the responsibility for our actions on how we live now, and how we are really capable of living from now on. Gardening, raising small livestock, (chickens, rabbits, pigs, and even fish.) are just a few examples of things that CAN be done in a way that will oft times benefit each other and add to ones self esteem when you see how you are capable of surviving beyond the commercial cloud that hangs over us all. Your food is fresh and you control what goes into it to make it what it is.
All in all there are many things one can do in their lives to make life a little greener than it is.
