Want to make a BBQ table or a fire pit table? Check out these ideas for both a fire pit in the middle of a railway sleep homemade table and also a BBQ table which has be repurposed from Ikea table legs, B&Q BBQ (£20) and some old laminate flooring.
Garden Fire Pit Table – How To
The middle is made out of 5mm mild steel welded together and sprayed with heat paint. A channel was made round the wood and filled with decorative pebbles to reduce the heat from the wood, the outside is made using 200 x 100 railway sleepers from the garden centre.
Garden BBQ Table – How To
This table was up-cycled from various materials found around and a new, low slung BBQ from amazon or B&Q/ Argos. £20 ish… Including some old table legs and left over laminate flooring. The idea and design may cause fire issues as with any fire and wood combination one is to proceed with caution. Keeping sure to have a fire bucket with sand or water ready to extinguish any flames.
Note the BBQ is suspended by screws from the inside of the table so as to provide a gap between the BBQ base and table, it might be wise to clad this area in a heat proof paint or even tin foil to provide some resistance to the heat.
