When deciding on the type of pond to buy, you must consider where said pond will be installed. Pre formed plastic ponds are considerably cheaper than fiberglass ponds but, these ponds have to be installed below ground/ in a hole, it is also worth noting that pre formed plastic ponds will misshape once filled with water and so the design and layout of the pond you pick may not be the same shape once it is filled with water, edgeds will tighten and folds will appear no matter how accurately one installed them.
Fiberglass ponds are something like 10x the price of plastic ponds but, these ponds can be raised or sunken into the ground, they can be half raised or partly raised too and withstand all weather conditions.
Installing Fiberglass Pond…
When installing a pond things are never straight forwards, digging out, building up, levelling off and orientating a new pond installation can be troublesome and time consuming, also depending on the type of pond you buy, can affect where and how they are installed. Fiberglass ponds are ridged and can be installed either above ground or below ground, but they are costly too.
If you are thinking about installing a pond then be sure that you buy the right pond in the first instance as otherwise your hard work may not look as good as you expect in the end.
